Nok Air has halted all services from 1200 until 1 November, a decision Nok Air CEO Patee Sarasin announced through his twitter @Patee22.

Mr Patee said said floods around Don Muang Airport had made it impossible to continue offering services to passengers. However, the airport authorities have not issued any notifications on whether the airport will close. However, an official at the airport said floods had not broken through dykes or caused flooding of airport building or runway.

Another airline based in Don Muang Airport, Solar Air, has already moved flights to U-Tapao Airport, near Pattaya, while Orient Thai Airlines has yet to announce its intentions.

Nok Air may opt to transfer its flights to Suvarnabhumi Airport as an interim measure.

Nok Air serves Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Hat Yai, Trang, Phuket, Surat Thani, Phitsanulok, Ubon Ratchathani, Narathiwat, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Buriram, Nan, Roi Et, Loei, Mae Sot and Phrae.
