Cam Ranh Bay is described by many travelers as the pearl of central Vietnam because of its natural landscape that is formed by islands, beautiful beaches, green hills and mountains. To have a panoramic view of Cam Ranh and surrounding area is certainly expensive if you have to hire a helicopter for a tour above the bay, which is situated more than 30 kilometers from Nha Trang City in Khanh Hoa Province.

The affordable alternative for many is to look at the bay from a commercial passenger plane. The question in the minds of many people is how can they have a bird’s eye view of Cam Ranh from a commercial passenger jet? Well, the key is to book a window seat to get a spectacular view.

So book your seat early and gain the best view of beautiful beaches and eye-catching islands surrounding the bay. However, not all window seats are ideal because the wings block your view.

To reserve front and back window seats is easy if you arrive at the departure airport early. As a flight from Tan Son Nhat Airport takes about 45 minutes, you can wait until the attendant announces that the plane is descending for landing to catch the perfect view of Cam Ranh Bay.

Vietnam Airlines has daily flights from HCMC and Hanoi to Cam Ranh Airport and vice versa, while Jetstar Pacific operates daily services from Hanoi. A flight from the capital’s Noi Bai Airport is one hour and 45 minutes.
