(TITC) - People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province has just submitted organization project of Viet Nam international sea tourism fair 2013 to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. According to the project, the fair will be held from 6- 8 June 2013 at Diamond Bay Resort (Phuoc Dong Commune, Nha Trang City, KhanhHoa Province). This event is a part of Nha Trang Sea Festival 2013.

As scheduled, the fair will have the participations of about 250 stalls, of which stalls of foreign enterprises will represent about 30%. At the fair, through surveys and sea tourism seminars, tour operators, the international and domestic press will have opportunities to learn about characteristic tourism products and destinations in Khanh Hoa and some provinces having strengths about sea tourism.

Besides, the fair also comprises other special activities such as: program of meeting  and exchange among foreign and domestic enterprises; activity program for the public; tourism investment promotion conference; ceremony to honor tour operators contributing to promoting and attracting tourists to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa; Viet Nam leading sea tourism award ceremony; tourism golf open…

Viet Nam exists great potential to develop sea tourism with over 3,000km of coastline; thousands of islands; beautiful beaches and bays such as: Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) –  new natural wonder of the world, Nha Trang Bay (Khanh Hoa) and Lang Co Bay (Thua Thien – Hue) –  members of the world’s most beautiful bays club; Non Nuoc Beach (Da Nang) – one of the six most beautiful beaches in the world…

Apart from natural beauty, traditional cultural values of ethnic groups living in the coastal area as Kinh, Hoa, Khmer, Cham ... also have important significant for the development of sea tourism. Every year, sea tourism attracts about 70% international arrivals to Viet Nam and over 50% domestic tourists, contributes about 70% total national tourism income.

With those strengths, it is necessary to organize the sea tourism fair at national and international levels to develop brand and affirm position of Viet Nam sea tourism. Organization of the Viet Nam international sea tourism fair 2013 will contribute to promotion of sea tourism in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa in particular and Viet Nam in general; attract international tourists and foreign investment in tourism; create opportunities for domestic enterprises, especially small and medium scale enterprises to exchange experience and sign business contracts with foreign partners.
